Native Son Fishing

Sunday fished aboard the Native Son had a great time slow day thow but I got some quality bass with my dad and friends all fish I caught were caught on Big Hammers with War Bait Slayer heads or Dan Hernadez b 52 bucktail with a Big hammer and the butta was a must . Also got to break in my new custom rod.

The Trip was with Dan Hernandez first in the morning fished horseshoe kelp and I caught 6 cuda and realesed alot they were biteing the Dan Hernandez Magic Metal Lite.And my dad caught 1 legal and let go alot too. The when the bite slowed down captin got us to go bottom fishing. I caught 1 sculpin and alot of sandabs and dad caught 5 sculpin and alot of dabs. They all bit on the Dan Hernandez bucktails on a drooper loop. The was a good day overal.

After School LAB Part 2

Went after school yesterday to fish brought my friend along and he caught a small ray and for a while I did not catch anything. So I went to drop shotting basstrix on the edge of the eel grass at first if like I was caught on some eel grass so I start reeling it in and start notice it was a fish and I ended up with a small halibut.

Hit up the Jetty today at 6:30am got nothing because of the tides.. Left the Jetty around 9:00 then came back at 11:00 close to high tide after that first three casts got a almost legal halibut and I relased hime sort of good day..

Fishing Long Beach Jetty

This past weekend I fished the Long Beach Jetty at 72nd place . Got there at 6:30am drop shoting for California Halibut. I came with my light baitcasting gear 10 pnd test. Got to my first spot and first cast I got a 17'' halibut and drop shoting Basstrix Flashtrix this was a good start. Then fished for about an hour and caught another halibut down the Jetty finally I got back to my original spot and caught a big 20'' halibut and that closed my day. Then Monday went out fishing the Jetty again and bad fishing got one small sand bass and three lizard fish it was a tough day bat rays were going crazy that day was SLOW..
